Sasha became transgender when she began her high school years. Sasha had a difficult time, but he knew that by the support of his family and music Sasha would be able take it on. Jim and Sasha both are songwriters and are just beginning to form the official duo of music. In the past, they have appeared at various local events, such as open mics. The Voice coaches didn't discuss Sasha's past, but Jim and he shared their story before they performed. Sasha and Jim talked about their favorite music, including how he first began playing guitar when he was six. Sasha was able to master the musical form faster since his father was an educator. Sasha had issues with identity in his youth, being a woman. In a recent Instagram post, Sasha opened up about the struggles he had to face. In the meantime, Jim overcame with emotion when he clarified why he couldn't be a participant in those difficult times. Sasha Allen was born as a female. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant, will turn 19 in 2021. Sasha Allen started his journey to masculinity when he was at the beginning of his time in high school. "I'm the third trans person to ever appear on the show, and I'm so excited to represent this trans-inclusive community on such a massive platform," Sasha wrote on Instagram.
